Notice is hereby given that the Wasilla City Council will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at its regular meeting of June 12, 2023. The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held at Wasilla City Hall, Council Chambers, 290 E Herning Avenue, Wasilla, Alaska. 

1. Ordinance Serial No. 23-17: Adopting Wasilla Municipal Code Section 4.12.080, Candidate Advocacy Statements, To Provide The Opportunity For Candidates In A City Election To Submit A Photograph And A Statement Advocating Candidacy In That Election, And Requiring The City Clerk To Post Those Photographs And Statements On The City Of Wasilla Website Before An Election So Long As Format And Timing Requirements Are Met.

How to Testify. The public may provide testimony in person at the meeting. Comments are limited to three minutes per person. Written comments are due by noon the day of the meeting via email to clerk@cityofwasilla.gov or delivered to the Clerk's Office, 290 E Herning Avenue. Written comments will be distributed in written form only and not read aloud at the meeting. 

The meeting agenda and packet will be available online and for examination at the City Clerk’s by 5:00 p.m. five days prior to the meeting.
