Alaska Department of Education and Early Development issued the following announcement Feb. 23.
Zoe Nelles (Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District) and Caleb Song (Anchorage School District) were named Alaska’s top youth volunteers for 2020 by the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, a nationwide program honoring young people for outstanding acts of volunteerism. Anna Devolld (Kenai Peninsula Borough School District) and Natalie Fraser (Anchorage School District) were named Distinguished Finalists and will receive bronze medallions at local ceremonies. #aklearns
