City of Wasilla issued the following announcement on March 15.
The City Council appointed Alina Rubeo to vacant Council Seat F, at the March 14, 2022, City Council Meeting. Council Member Rubeo’s current term of office will expire in October 2022, when the seat is filled by election.
Ms. Rubeo is a local business owner, and a former member of the Planning Commission since 2019. She resigned from the Commission upon appointment to the City Council.
Council Seat F was vacated in January 2022 when former Council Member James Harvey resigned due to relocation.
