Matanuska-Susitna Borough issued the following announcement on March 18.
My Preparedness Initiative (MyPI) Alaska, is a comprehensive program for youth that provides hands-on training for disaster preparedness and response, giving them the skills and tools to better prepare themselves and their families for emergencies.
Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 5th through May 12th from 3-6pm at Wasilla High School. Registration is open to ages 13-19.
Summer courses at other locations will also be available.
