Yesterday was the last day for the ETT vocational class at Houston Jr. Sr. High School and we wanted to celebrate the class and their recent success passing the registration exam. The students in this class are now fully state-authorized Emergency Trauma Technicians. So Houston Fire Department and Mat-Su Borough EMS brought an ambulance to the class as their final day project - hands on experience with an ambulance and all of its tools.
Career options were discussed and we hope that some of these student keep their drive up and enter the prehospital care career field. We look forward to you working next to us on scene in a few years!
You make the biggest difference in life when you save a life. You are all rock stars!
To EMT Wallin - I am fairly certain you inspired a few of the students with your presentation. And of course the biggest thankful to the teacher, Ms. Mehler - thank you for preparing some future life savers.
