Good Afternoon Mat-Su Borough,
MSB Animal Care and Regulation would like to provide our community with an update as to our status. The AC&R facility has been closed to the public since we detected another parvo case in our dog population on 9/6/22. Once again, we would like to express our gratitude to our staff for their early recognition and testing and also for all of their hard work in the extensive decontamination process. They are true professionals and their combined efforts have kept the rest of our population safe and healthy.
Unfortunately, other events have significantly impacted our staff. Due to reduced staffing, we will remain closed through this weekend. Our goal is to re-open with our regular schedule next Tuesday, September 20th. In the interim, we will still be accepting stray animals and conducting return to owner transactions by appointment. We will also be accepting owner surrender animals by appointment. Please call 907-746-5500 to schedule an appointment.
