Fellow community members, this is a PSA. Our community has experienced a higher number of vehicle thefts and thefts of items from vehicles. Please lock your vehicles when unattended. Most suspects looking to get into vehicles will walk around testing door handles to see if the door is open. If locked, they generally move on to the next car, as breaking in attracts attention. It’s a simple thing to do, and hopefully will keep your items in your car. Also, leaving keys in an unlocked vehicle is a bad idea. Take those keys with you!
Lastly, if you see suspicious people or vehicles in the neighborhoods, please call dispatch 907-745-4811. The more eyes we have out there, the safer we can make this community.
