Zender Environmental is taking applications for the 2023 Rural Alaska Community Environmental Job Training Program.
Training takes place over 7 weeks with a combination of in-person Anchorage based classes--with travel covered, and at-home classes over the computer. Participants must commit to all seven weeks to attend. The program is open to under-employed rural Alaska residents.
Graduates receive a Program Diploma and 15+ course certifications, qualifying them for many job positions, including Waste Collector, Landfill Operator, Contaminated Site Worker, Tank Inspector, Brownfield Technician, Recycling Center Manager, Environmental/IGAP Assistant and many others that are often needed by the City of Saint Paul for specific projects.
