10/28/22 This little bearded dragon is Zeus! Zeus is quite the character and has become a favorite amongst staff! If you are not familiar with bearded dragons, we highly encourage you to research care prior to adopting. Zeus has been seen by multiple veterinarians who have concluded that his stunted growth was a result of poor husbandry (too small of an enclosure). It was advised by the vet to try feeding Zeus live food, fresh green veggies plus his calcium supplement. His prior owner stated that Zeus loves crickets, lettuce, and fruit! His new owners should also make sure that his tank has proper heating (heat lamp plus UVB rays). Zeus can be a bit feisty when it comes to bath time but making sure he has a shallow pool to soak in is also important. Please use caution when soaking Zeus and discuss with your veterinarian ways to make it a more positive experience! Zeus was said to love attention and he is hoping he can find a new home to provide him with all he needs to live a long happy life!
