Personal Fireworks on New Year's Eve!The city of Wasilla allows limited use of fireworks during New Year's Eve celebrations:
Only between 6pm New Year's Eve and 1am New Year's Day
Sober adults only!
Must be on private property, with the owners permission
Prohibited within 50 feet of lakes and waterways within the City
Prohibited within 500 feet of auto shops, gas stations, and anywhere that flammable liquids are stored
Prohibited within 250 feet of churches, libraries, and care facilities
NO shooting from your vehicle or home
The City of Wasilla and Wasilla Police Department wishes for everyone to have a safe celebration. Fireworks users are reminded to use common sense and follow all manufacturer safety recommendations.
